My Current Favourite Lip Balms.

November 8, 2014

I’m not sure If I’m all alone here, but my lips are chapped in the winter cause it’s cold and in the summer cause it’s hot and I’m dehydrated~So I’m one of those not very lucky people who need Lip Balm all year round. I will tell you about my two current favourites and why the made the cut 😉

Nuxe, Rêve de Miel ( Honey Dream): The best lip balm I’ve tried so far! ~To start, I love the smell, it has like a lemony and honey smell to it~ it’s soft, it reminds me a bit of a lemon pie. Yum! ~ the consistency is not like other lip balm I have tried. This one is thick~ but maybe that’s why I like it so much. I truly feel it’s working its way inside my lips. I use this Lip Balm specially at night time, before I go tot bed. I have to say I love waking up the next day and still have it on.~ and when I have forgotten it at home when I’ve gone on holidays…Drama!  I can totally see and feel the difference. The only thing I don’t like about it, it’s the fact it comes in a pot. I don’t personally like to put my fingers inside pots for hygienic reasons. ~ but as long as you make sure you’re hands are clean when you use it, it’s all good. Also it’s important to add that a pot usually lasts me faround 3 to 4 months.

Nuxe, Rêve de Miel: 12.35 euros, you can get it at

Avène, Cold Cream: This Lip balm was the first one I tried when I arrived in Paris, trying to replace my Burt’s bee one.~ I have to admit it ‘was real love’ as I never even thought about the Burt’s one again, ups! This lip balm also has a thick consistency, but not as thick as the Nuxe. it’s thick enough to to be worn underneath my everyday lipsticks and make a nice match. I really appreciate the packaging, as it’s in a stick form it’s very practical for application but also to throw it in you bag. I do keep mine with me at all times, so I can reapply throughout the day. The only thing I don’t like about it, it’s that it has a bit of a white tint to it. it kind of reminds me of the sun blocks my mom used to buy for my brother and I when we were kids. ( totally in Fashion in the 90s) 😉 I’ve seen it in a pack of two for the same price…so that’s what I did last time, just got two for the price of one…
